After graduating from the prestigious Tulane University Law School, Chris Bruno became a partner at Bruno & Bruno where he began to develop an illustrious career as a legal advocate. He quickly became known as a formidable adversary inside and outside the courtroom. He garnered respect from the legal community after zealously representing clients throughout his heavy trial and motion practice where he focused primarily on personal injury cases. In 2009, he began his judicial career as a Division F Judge of the Civil District Court Orleans Parish and was later elected as the Chief Judge of the Civil District Court.

During his judicial career, he became known as a judge who had one of the most efficient dockets in Civil District Court. Other lawyers who appeared before him respected his efficiency, dedication, and thorough understanding of the facts and law involved in each case. In his role as an impartial decision maker, he often encouraged parties to resolve their cases in a more efficient manner that would also preserve client funds. He provided free mediation services to help bridge the gap between litigants in several cases.

He is a dedicated member of the legal community who has provided education to other lawyers in the state at local bar association meetings. He is board certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Furthermore, his prestigious career has earned him several honors and accolades, including receiving an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating for a lawyer in ethics and practice. Chris Bruno is also dedicated to civil service and the arts in Louisiana.
